International film festival FEST will be held in Belgrade for the 44th time from 26th of February to 6th of March in several city locations.
Fans of quality films will have the opportunity to see the best movies in several locations – Sava Centar, Dom omladine Beograda, DKCB, Fontana, Cineplexx Ušće, Muzej Jugoslovenske kinoteke, Jugoslovenska kinoteka.
This year’s slogan under which the film festival is being held is “Erasing Borders”. Idea behind this concept send out a message that arts tears away borders because it’s going to welcome number of artists from all around the world. Additional erasing of the borders will be accomplished with the movie selection that is political and artistically oriented.

During the 10 days of the film festival 110 movie premieres will be held as a part of 12 programs. Main program, Serbian film (competition), Main – competition program, FEST 44, Focus Europe, Frontiers (competition), Thrills & kills, Plazma festić, Dokumentfest, Microwave, FEST classics, Special screenings.
Serbian film “Humidity” of director Nikola Ljuca will open this year’s edition of the biggest film festival in the region. This year’s FEST will host John McTiernan, the director of some of the most famous Holywood action blockbusters like “Die Hard”, “Die Hard with a vengeance”, “Hunt for the Red October” and others.
