Davis cup : Serbia – Great Britain

The Davis Cup by BNP Paribas quarterfinal tie between Serbia and Great Britain will be held on an outdoor clay court at Tašmajdan Stadium in Belgrade between 15th and 17th July.

Serbian tennis players will host their opponents from Great Britain on a reconstructed stadium Tašmajdan, a venue that last time hosted a Davis Cup match almost 60 years ago when national teams of Yugoslavia and Mexico competed.

The open stadium will accommodate 6,100 people with Serbia counting on a boisterous home crowd to help the team overcome the defending champions. The quarterfinal will be the second time that the two teams have met, with Serbia (then competing as Serbia & Montenegro) defeating the Brits 3-2 in their one previous tie, in Glasgow in 2006. It is still not known whether two of biggest tennis stars Novak Đoković and Andy Murray will play in this match.
