The eight Mikser Festival, the largest regional festival of creativity and innovation, will be held for the fifth time in the Savamala neighborhood of Belgrade, from 8th until 12th of June 2016 at more than 40 city locations with the participation of 1,000 creators.
Festival that is happening in Jump inn hotel’s neighborhood is being held under the motto “Sensitive Society”, and it presents topics such as gender equality and women’s creativity, social equality, open dialog, multiculturality and efficient conflict resolution. Mikser has a triple focus: female creativity and gender equality, refugee crisis and possible directions of integration of refugees into European society and an open platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge. By being guided by these focuses, Mikser wants to explore social concepts thru which citizens and creative professionals can influence current social processes to improve the quality of everyday life, open the way for direct cooperation with vulnerable and disadvantaged groups and promote humane values.
Festival program is divided into several interesting segments such as Mikser Talks, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, debates, performances, music, kids and youth programs, Mikser Cinema. A common denominator of all program segments is removing the boundaries that people face because of gender, age, racial, ethnic, religious or cultural differences.
On the main music stage in Depo magacin, renowned musicians from the region will perform one after the other, and a special emphasis will be given to female creators in the field of music.
Tickets for all five days of the eight Mikser festival are available at all box offices of Gigs Tix, and the price for the 8th, 11th and 12th June is 1.100 dinars, it’s 200 dinars higher for the 9th and 10th June. Tickets for five days are also available for sale also and they cost 3.900 RSD.
