13th international Belgrade dance festival will be held from March 19th to April 10th 2016 at Sava Center, Belgrade Drama Theater, Terazije Theater, Yugoslav Drama Theater and Madlenianum Opera.
Besides Belgrade, the audience in Novi Sad, Pančevo, Vršac and Sombor will have the opportunity to see selected plays.
Belgrade, thanks to this festival has become an important point in the biography of ballet artists, the city in which new and iconic dance pieces are presented and interviewed, in which ballet stars and young artists just announced by the world critics, gladly come every April. The significance of the event on the world map is reflected in current programs, productions that are at the same time performed in the big cities of the world, or events that have premiere significance for the wider region.
So far almost 200 top pieces were performed, created by the most important choreographers of our time, while each edition is followed by more than 18.000 spectators and 120 accredited journalists from the country and abroad.
At it beginning Belgrade dance festival won the award of Jelena Šantić Fond, and UNESCO proclaimed it the leading dance project in the region of South East Europe in 2006, after which came the reception into the World Dance Alliance. German magazine BalletTanz, marked Belgrade Dance Festival as the „most representative dance manifestation of the Old continent “and a „dance trendsetter“ in 2012.

The magic starts on 19th of March in Sava Centar, and the closing of the Belgrade dance festival is planned for 13th of April in Opera Madlenianum.
Belgrade dance festival is being held under the patronage of Ministry of culture of Serbia and in collaboration with EU Delegation in Serbia.
Tickets for the plays at Belgrade Drama Theater cost from 500 to 1700 dinars (approximately 4€ to 14€) and can be purchased at the theater’s box office and all Eventim ticket outlets. Tickets for the shows on the great scene of Sava Centar cost between 1.700 and 2.500 dinars (14€ – 20€).
