Music Festival Todo Mundo

The fifth edition of the leading Belgrade’s World music festival Todo Mundo is scheduled to start on the 19th of April and will last up until 25th of April.

Dom omladine and organization Ring Ring will showcase the diversity that world music has and which attracts the attention of the domestic crowd on several city locations. Dom Omladine is one of them, and the manifestation will be held in Studio 6 of Radio Belgrade and in the premises of the Musical academy.

The program features Portugal world music with singer and guitarist Sergio Godinho, a Lebanon duo Praed, traditional music of Iran performed by the extraordinary musician Shervin Mohajer who plays on a traditional instrument Kamancheh and the greatest names of the Balkan music: female quartet from Vienna, Madame Baheux who managed to combine their author compositions and music of Serbia, Macedonia and Bosnia, as well as Hungarian Söndörgő, who nurtures tradition of South Slavic people in Hungary.

The local audience knows very well Damir Imamović, who will perform for the first time at Todo Mundo with his quartet Sevdah Takht. Belgrade group Čudesmo will announce 5th Todo Mundo festival on April 16, when it will hold a concert at the Flower Square.

Educative program of the festival consists of the workshop by Hungarian ensemble Söndörgő who will hold a lecture about work of Tihomir Vujičić, a famous ethnomusicologist, who had researched and recorded music of south Slavic peoples in Hungary.
